Hedgehog and Canada Geese

The hedgehog night vigil paid off, with moderate success thanks to the help of a torch.

Hedgehogs and train tracks

I am working on a plan to take pictures of a hedgehog which allows for some sort of identification to take place. In the meantime and pending tonight's hedgehog vigil, this will have to do.

Night and day

I joined the many rabbits in the garden late yesterday evening when it was dark. There was no wind and the night noises weren't at all creepy. The bonus was the hedgehog shuffling at speed across the lawn near the house on the way back, the second one in a week. I didn't get a picture.

Fortunately the seat didn't move - if it had, I would have moved very fast. 

Thankfully, this tree didn't move either.
