Brides and weddings

There's something about church bells ringing out early on a Saturday afternoon which has me fumbling for the camera in the depths of my bag, just in case I miss the bride. It was difficult to see what was going on, firstly because I was merely a not-so-innocent bystander and not a wedding guest, and secondly due to the couple's get-away vehicle obscuring the view. 


At first, I didn't make the link between the vehicle and the bride and groom. This was probably because it didn't resemble a vintage royal sports vehicle. Even more perplexing was the fact that I, and other more innocent bystanders, couldn't easily identify the bride.

Weddings and telescopes

Today I collected a very special outfit (onesy) for my telescope and can't wait to get it fitted. This is it without the outfit.

We are attending a very smart wedding at North Bovey Church tomorrow, followed by a reception at Bovey Castle. If I manage to get ready without technical hitches in the morning, then I'll dress the above scope (no - not in clothes for those of you who haven't been paying attention to recent postings). You'll then have a pretty good idea of what constitutes the latest fashion in scopewear.

As for me and what I'll be wearing, that will probably be left to your imaginations. The following picture is all about dressing up, except that the bride's hair is not a wig.
